 To Whom It May Concern:

I have known Kathleen Shea for 15 years. In those years I have
observed Kathleen transition from highly involved parent (I was
her daughter's teacher) to volunteer art teacher, to award
winning day care provider. When I had my daughter Kathleen
provided the best atmosphere I could hope for in childcare.
As I am a teacher myself, I have been extremely interested in
Kathleen's approach to children. It is my pleasure to note she
always thinks of the child personally first, and that her
curriculum is thoroughly grounded in what is developmentally
appropriate. Kathleen takes staying informed about current
research seriously and spends much of her personal time and
effort investigating and learning to implement best practices.
Perhaps best of all, Kathleen intuitively knows how to relate
to children inspiring them to become independent learners as
  well as compassionate human beings.

Two of Kathleen's qualities which I have had the opportunity
to observe firsthand are her commitment to the profession and
even more importantly, to the children. Kathleen is always
prepared to listen to a child and make every situation a
learning opportunity. Her positive and caring demeanor
communicates to the children her interest in and affection for
them. They respond extremely well to her nurturing style.
It is with complete confidence that I give my wholehearted
recommendation to Kathleen Shea. She will be an asset in
  any program.

 Sincerely,
  Ingrid Boydston
